More Than Breakdown CoverMore Than is the direct sales arm of Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance. Launched in 2001, the brand offers breakdown and recovery services in the Uk and Europe by internet and telephone.

The firm claims to have more than 2 million customers, but this is across a range of services rather than breakdown cover alone.

More Than breakdown Cover includes help if a vehicle runs out of petrol or a flat tyre needs changing.

Four levels of cover are offered – two for the UK and two for Europe.

Over 3,500 recovery crews are available 24/7 365 days a year and aim to help within 35 minutes of a call for assistance.

Services

More Than provides car insurance and other personal financial services, as well as breakdown cover and recovery in the UK and Europe.

Prices

More Than gives a personal quote based on your age, location, vehicle and annual mileage. Any caravan or trailer on tow attached by a 50 millimetre ball coupling is included in the cover.

Customer Service

Priority is given to motorway incidents and calls from vulnerable customers, especially women alone or children.

More Than will also telephone or fax friends or family to let them know customers are involved in breakdowns.

More Than gives motorists two service options and adds European breakdown and recovery as an extra paid-for service to both, giving four packages to choose from. Below is some information on each package with details of their features and benefits:

Roadside assistance

Up to one hour with an technician to try and start a vehicle, providing the breakdown is more than a mile from home

Car Recovery

If roadside assistance fails, the car, driver and up to eight passengers are taken to a garage within 10 miles from the incident.

Fuel, Battery and Tyre Assistance

Help if the car has run out of fuel, the driver has filled with the wrong fuel, a flat battery or flat tyre.

Key Assistance

Help with broken or lost keys or keys locked inside the car

Home and roadside assistance – Up to one hour with an technician to try and start a vehicle
