The M25 Voted Britain’s Most Depressing Road

M25 UKThe M25 has been singled out as the most boring and depressing road in Britain according to a Road to Freedom survey of 3,000 car drivers and bike riders conducted by Motorcycle News.

Following close behind in second place is the Birmingham stretch of the M6, with the A1 in London, and the M5 near Bristol in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Potholes, traffic jams, and speeds cameras were the major factors in determining just how depressing the roads were.

The survey also revealed that 59% of motorists found driving in Britain to be stressful or very stressful, with 65% claiming driving had grown more stressful in the last 2 years.

  8. The A361 near Glastonbury in Somerset
  9. The A30 near Bodmin in Cornwall
  10. The A338 between Great Shefford and junction 14 of the M4
